December Bullshit
Cat Disaster = Cat Comics
The last month of 2025 was closed out with cat disaster, fanart for a magical canceled 2010s TV show, thoughts about mending and who deserves to be successful, among other things!
🔒 Pay Attention to Me 🔒 (Patrons Only)
My idiot cat broke her foot and the next five weeks of our life were turned completely upside down. (2 pages)
High King Margo Crown Template
For all my crafty Fillorians, here is the crown template that I made for my High King Margo paper crown the month before! This is a type of The Magicians fanart, right?
A little dachshund named Phoebe
My Christmas gift for my Mother-in-Law, a portrait of her pocket-sized companion.
Fillory and Fanart
I remain very firmly on my The Magicians bullshit with this (fairly sizeable) collection of character sketches and fanart.
🔒 Who Deserves Success 🔒 (Patrons Only)
There most definitely are other people in your field whose skills are more technically advanced than yours, who have put in more time in the community/industry, who have “worked harder” than you. But that doesn’t matter when it comes to delighting your audience.
Something about the way YOU do YOUR thing is clicking with your audience. You are making your own magic. Your audience sees it and they appreciate it.
🔒 The Cone of Shame 🔒 (Free Followers & Patrons Only)
Matt and I spent eleven hours overnight at the emergency vet clinic.
🔒 Fixing What’s Broken (I’M ON THE NEWS!!) 🔒 (Patrons Only)
Some people are ignited by adversity. They are fighters! Righters of wrongs! Good for them, we need them in the world.
I am not.
(Also, I’m on the news!!)
I’m on the news!!! Tig’s be-collared state served as muse to talented artists Hilt and Sal (who is also on Patreon and takes pet commissions)! Did you know my husband shared an elevator with Jason Mamoa? Did you know I was Dylan Meconis’ prom date in Seattle in 2001? 24 years later, here’s a sketch I drew of her giving a lecture at our studio in Portland. Tig has been recovering well, sort of.
I hope you concluded 2025 with people you like and/or in a place you enjoy, and- failing that- I at least hope it wasn’t spent in the emergency pet clinic!
Thank you, as ever, for being here, whether you’re a free or paying patron. I love getting to share my bullshit with you guys and I appreciate it so much that enough of you support me that I can actually do this full time. That’s a gift I don’t ever take for granted. So, y’know, thanks. Thanks for that. Thanks for everything.
I’m excited to see what we all do with 2026!
XOXOX,
Erika
